Do you offer a postage discount?
Yes, I will only charge full postage (£1.50) for the first item. Any items thereafter paid for in the same transaction will be at a discounted rate of 20p per item. If the discount doesn't show up in the checkout, please request a revised invoice and I will amend it.
How is my item dispatched?
Your item will be dispatched via 1st class Royal Mail Recorded to ensure secure delivery. Items are usually dispatched the next working day (work commitments may mean this is not possible in some circumstances) If you require your item urgently please contact me prior to purchase and I will facilitate you where possible. I will ensure you are sent a confirmation email upon dispatch of your item. All items will be dispatched within 1 week of purchase, unless I am abroad at the time of purchase, however anytime I am abroad will be clearly stated on the homepage.
Do you post items internationally?
Yes, items can be posted worldwide. Please contact me for postage costs for items to be delivered outside of the UK.
Can I collect my item from you in person?
Unfortunately I cannot offer this service at this time.
Where did the components for my item come from?
My materials are sourced from around the world. I purchase supplies from a broad range of suppliers in a variety of countries in order to bring you high quality jewellery at affordable prices.
Do you accept commissions?
Commissions are welcomed. I design a wide range of jewellery and am happy to broaden this range to suit your requirements. Please contact me to discuss your requirements. A small deposit may be required when processing commissioned orders.
I have seen an item on your eBay shop – can I purchase it through this website?
Yes, please let me know which jewellery item you are interested in and I can arrange it to be made available on this website. The advantage of this is that due to lower overheads on this site, the price is often cheaper through this website.
Do you accept returns?
I always aim to ensure that all my customers are delighted with their purchase. If you are not, please contact me and an amicable solution can be reached. If you find you wish to return an item for any reason, please remember to ensure it is in its original unworn condition, in the original packaging. Please contact me to arrange its return, as returns that are not previously discussed cannot be accepted.
Do you attend craft fairs and other events?
I regularly attend the Southampton Artists Market and have done for the last 18 months. This is held on the first Saturday of every month, at the Bargate monument. I will be here next on the 5th of April. I will be frequenting this event and possibly other events in Hampshire over the coming summer (2008). Any events I am attending will be posted on this site, on an Events page. If you would like email notifications of upcoming events I’ll be attending please email me to let me know and this can be arranged.
How do I pay for my item?
At this point, all items must be paid for through Paypal. Paypal is a secure online facility which accepts all major credit and debit cards. If you cannot pay by Paypal please contact me to discuss the possibility of arranging an alternative.
What is your Privacy Policy?
Any details of your which I have as a result of contact or purchase will not be shared with anyone. I have no desire to subject my customers or potential customers to spam or advertising. If I wished to pass your details on to a genuine third party, who I think may interest you, I will not do so without your explicit permission.
Do you sell wholesale?
Some items can be made available in wholesale quantities. Please contact me with any queries regarding this.
Are all of the items on your website in stock currently?
Yes, everything on my site is normally complete and ready to dispatch. Occasionally items may have been sold through another forum, however it will only remain on the website if a suitably similar replacement can be made for it within a short space of time. If you have any queries about how soon an item can be dispatched please contact me.
How do I contact you?
A contact form and email address are available on the Contact Me page. Alternatively you can email me at mail@silverjewellerydesigns.com. Please understand that I will not publish my phone number on the website.
Can I purchase a gift voucher for a friend?
This facility is not available at present, however I am looking into the possibility. The website will be update when this situation changes.
Can I purchase an item in a different colour/size/length/material?
These variations can usually be accommodated, however please contact me to specify your requirements and I will confirm availability. Please understand that some variations (eg sterling silver rather than silver plate) may incur a surcharge due to increase in material costs. I will of course make sure you aware of any cost implications from the start. Please contact me to discuss.
Is this your full time occupation?
No, this is a hobby. I currently work full time at an engineering consultancy and use my spare time to design and produce individual pieces of jewellery.
